January is National Radon Action Month
Radon gas is a silent invisible killer that causes thousands of fatal lung cancer cases each year. More than half the homes tested in McLean county have elevated levels of radon and Savannah Green is no exception. If you've never tested your home for radon please take action to protect yourself and your family from this serious health risk. For more information on radon, testing and mitigation please visit the McLean County Radon Task Force web site.
Parking and Snow Removal
The Town of Normal owns the public streets and alleyways in Savannah Green and the responsibility for removing snow and ice from them. SGHOA only handles snow removal in the clubhouse parking lot and sidewalk. Please contact Normal Public Works and not the SGHOA board with questions or concerns about snow removal on our streets and alleys.
To prevent damage to your vehicles and to allow plows to efficiently clear our streets please park vehicles in your garages and driveways during periods of snowfall greater than two inches. Town code prohibits parking vehicles on the streets during such conditions.
Wheeled Garbage Cart Program
The Town has implemented an automated waste collection system. If you do not have an approved Town-provided receptacle your trash will not be collected. Please read this article for details and action that may be required on your part.
