Wheeled Garbage Cart Program

In 2011 the Town of Normal implemented an automated waste collection system. Under this new system every resident in the Town of Normal must utilize an approved garbage cart for waste collection. The Town will not pick up garbage left on the curb (this includes trash that does not fit in the approved cart) in bags or in unapproved containers.

If your home does not have a garbage cart or if you wish to request a second one for landscaping waste contact the Normal Public Works Director by phone or e-mail to request a garbage cart.

Garbage carts must remain with their assigned properties. Do not take them with you if you move!
